Madame Jeanette (Capsicum chinense) is a distinctive hot chilli pepper originally from Suriname. The fruits have an unusual elongated shape, somewhat resembling small bell peppers, while delivering the characteristic intense heat associated with Habanero-type peppers.
The fruits ripen through reddish-yellow shades and are relatively large, irregular and asymmetrical. Madame Jeanette is particularly appreciated for its combination of strong heat and pronounced aroma.
